Frequently Asked Questions #2 (FAQs)

1. Can you give the approximate dates of the interviews?

Interviews would happen from the first week of school (13th August) till the end of the second week of school (24th August)


2. When can we start signing up for NVVN'12?

Sign-ups are opened from 16th July 2012 till 17th August 2012. 


3. Who are you looking for to be part of the team?

We are looking for a diverse range of people, hence there is not a need to possess a specific skill set.
However, we are definitely looking for team-players! 


4. Are the facilitation sessions compulsory?

Yes! The facilitation sessions are compulsory and are conducted on a weekly basis. This is essential prior to the trip so that participants are able to plan and execute the Youth Expedition Project (YEP) with ease and confidence.
Additionally, basic Vietnamese language would be taught to the participants to ensure that individuals are able to fluently converse basic greetings with the locals in Dai Chanh Commune. 
Unless a valid reason is provided, facilitation sessions are compulsory. 

5. When are the facilitation sessions?

Tentatively, facilitation sessions are held every Tuesday at Cinnamon College Seminar/Tutorial Rooms. 
The time is the same as previous years, from 7pm onwards. 

6. How are the living conditions at the village that we are residing in?

Living conditions are good and definitely habitable. 
Not to worry about sanitary conditions as there is a proper plumbing system at the place we are heading to, and the home that we are residing in. 

7. How much do we need to pay to participate in this project?

The cost that every participant must contribute is S$500. 
This includes airfare, transport within Vietnam (private van), provision of basic cookware as well as food within the village. 
This is a very small sum for a 3 week YEP as compared to other YEPs.
